Coolin' At the Playground You Know: Montrose Park

So mom and dad just got home from a long weekend in San Francisco where they surprised Uncle Steve for his b-day.  Given that it was the first kid-free weekend they'd had in a long while, it was over St. Patty's Day, and they were celebrating with their younger, kid-less siblings, they and their livers are still recovering.  So all mom could pull together today is a quick playground post.

The playground at Montrose Park in Georgetown isn't spectacular (and even less cool now that they've bolted the play merry go round in place), but the larger park is a pretty nice place to run around.  And it is right next door to Dumbarton Park and Rock Creek Park, so we always like to take a nice walk along the river.  Last time we went, daddy and I spent a lot of time "skipping rocks" (aka, throwing rocks into the water to get a big splash).  Mom spent most of the time trying to keep Cam out of the river.  But we all had a good time.

i got sick of rocks and moved on to throwing our ball into the water.  daddy had to skip rocks at it to get it to come back to shore.

we rarely cooperate to leave a park.  montrose is no exception.
